ICISE hosts first conference on earth, environmental Sciences

The first Vietnam Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences was held yesterday at the Quy Nhon City-based International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE).

This is an opportunity for scientists in Vietnam and worldwide to study the latest trends and progress in earth and environmental sciences.

The participants discussed different issues, included air and land pollution and mitigation solutions, water quality, climate change and its impacts on the nature, and the application of earth and environmental sciences in sustainable human development, among others.

According to Tran Thanh Son, ICISE Deputy Director, the conference was held in an international format with all of the discussions in English. It is expected to become an annual forum for scientists to discuss earth and environmental sciences related issues.
