Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational model of the United Nations used for simulations, in which students learn about diplomacy and international relations, as well as the principles of the UN and how it functions.
At a MUN conference, each student works as the representative of a country, organisation, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world.
LQDOMUN was founded in 2017 by a group of young people with good English skills and considerable knowledge about global issues. LQDOMUN aims to create a venue for participants to develop English speaking skills, research, debate, public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork.
It also provides a venue for participants to showcase their abilities and contribute to raising awareness of global issues.
This year’s event focuses on topics related to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
