Dormitory for students from Binh Dinh opened in HCMC

In the afternoon of 28 February, 2015, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) organized an opening ceremony of a dormitory at the VNU-HCM campus for students from Binh Dinh Province.

The dormitory includes two buildings of D5 and D6 at Block B at dormitory system of the VNU-HCM campus (at Gate 621, Ha Noi Highway, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City), with total area of 33,890 square metres. The dormitory has twelve floors and one basement. Its total construction cost of over 20-bln-VND is covered by government's bonds. The two buildings consists of 480 rooms; each room can serve up to 8 students. Beneficiary students enjoy free accommodation, excluding power and water supply charges.

The Provincial People's Committee has signed an agreement worth more than VND 8 billions with the VNU-HCM on installation of interior facilities for the two buildings.

At the opening ceremony, leaders of Binh Dinh Province and Club of Binh Dinh businessmen at Ho Chi Minh City offered 15 scholarships (each worth VND 3 millions) to excellent Binh Dinh students who had overcame difficulties in Ho Chi Minh City.
