Bình Định to host Teqball World Series next month

Athletes from 52 countries and regions will participate in more than 100 matches under the Teqball World Series, scheduled to take place in Quy Nhon City next month.

Binh Dinh People’s Committee held a press conference about the tournament yesterday, confirming that the 2024 Teqball World Series will be held in Bình Định Province from June 6-9 and it will be live broadcast on 5 channels, including: Eurosport, Mono TV, Sport TV, TV Start and XSport.

This is expected to be an opportunity to leave good impressions on international friends about the city. It would also help to attract foreign investment, contributing to socio-economic development.

Teqball was first played in Hungary in 2014 and has impressed many people. It is a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of sepak takraw and table tennis. Back and forth, the players hit the ball with any part of the body except arms and hands. Teqball can be played between two players as a singles game or between four players as a doubles game.

The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) is currently home to more than 150 country federations. There are more than 4,000 clubs over the world. FITEQ organised five World Cup in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.
