Binh Dinh enhances friendship and cooperation with Italian partners

On December 12, Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang received Mr. Enrico Padula, Italian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of his visit to Binh Dinh province. This was also an opportunity to establish and promote friendship and cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Italian partners.

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang briefly introduced Binh Dinh province, its potentials and strengths, as well as the local socio-economic development in 2022. Binh Dinh continued to strive to maintain economic growth in a sustainable manner, to build the province into one of the leading developed provinces in the central region. In which, tourism is identified as a key economic sector with the goal of soon turning Binh Dinh into a tourism center of the region and Asia, creating a driving force for socio-economic development.

He said he wished that in the near future, the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will strengthen coordination with the Provincial People's Committee to organize cultural and art exchange activities between the two sides, thereby contributing to establishing and promoting friendly relations and cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Italian partners. At the same time, the province is committed to creating all favorable conditions for Italian businesses and partners in particular and foreign businesses in general when coming to study and invest in Binh Dinh province.

Mr. Enrico Padula appreciated the potential and strengths of the province, especially in terms of long history and culture, famous scenic spots and cultural and historical relics.

He said that the information provided, besides the potentials and economic strengths, show the similarities between Binh Dinh province and Italian partners, on which basis the two sides can expand their relationship. He pledged to be the bridge connecting Italian businesses to explore investment and business opportunities in Binh Dinh province; organize delegations to learn, exchange and promote the relationship between the two sides.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang and Italian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Enrico Padula both expressed their desire to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides in the coming time, especially in 2023 as Vietnam and Italy celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership.
