“Meet Korea 2022”: Joining hands for development
A seminar entitled Meet Binh Dinh – Korea 2022 with the theme “Joining hands for development” took place on May 12 in Quy Nhon City. This is one of main activities under the event “Meet Korea 2022” in Binh Dinh, celebrating 30th anniversary of Vietnam – South Korea bilateral relations.
Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Park Noh-wan, , Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Nguyen Phi Long attended the seminar.

Speaking at the meeting, Binh Dinh’s Party Chief Dung said that local leaders highly respect the bilateral relationship. The province’s authorities have organized many investment promotion trips in South Korea, aiming to set up connections with localities and companies in South Korea.
Notably, Quy Nhon and Yongsan District established a friendly relation in 1996, supporting each other in fields of social welfare, education and tourism.
Ambassador Park Noh-wan expressed the hope that two side’s relationship will be seen as a represent for the cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.
Leaders and representatives of South Korean organizations and enterprises highly valued the province’s investment environment. According to the Finance Minister Phoc, Binh Dinh has many advantages, such as logistics, automatic manufacturing, hi-tech industry and tourism.
“The Ministry of Finance commits to facilitate coditions for South Korean investors”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, Deputy Forein Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that Binh Dinh is one of top localities in boosting the international integration. He also expressed the belief that the province will be a potential destination for foreign investors.
Head of CJ Vietnam Group Chang Bok Sang also has a good impression of Binh Dinh when the company sought investment opportunities in the province in 2017. CJ Vietnam has invested 2 projects here so far with the investment capital of more than US$26 million.

South Korean entrepreneurs are participating in the seminar

According to Chairman of South Korea Industry and Trade Association in Southern and Central Vietnam Shon Young Il, more and more South Korean entrepreneurs planned to invest in Binh Dinh, as it is one of the hubs in the Central economic belt.
Binh Dinh’s Party Chief Dung hoped that relevant bodies will continue supporting Binh Dinh to lure more South Korean investors. He also asked local agencies to timely resolve any difficulties and recommend solutions to improve the investment environment.
