Binh Dinh looks to attract more Japanese investors

Japan has strengths that south-central province needs, such as in AI and high-tech agriculture.

The south-central province of Binh Dinh held a conference on July 7 to seek measures to boost trade and investment with Japanese enterprises.

This was part of activities held to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan and to promote relations between Binh Dinh and Japan.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung said Binh Dinh wants Japanese businesses and investors to come to the province to seek investment opportunities in fields where Japan holds strengths, such as machine manufacturing, mechanics, software, AI, high-tech agriculture, the environment, automation, logistics, healthcare, education, and labor.

He committed that provincial authorities will offer the highest incentives for investors.

He also hopes Japanese enterprises and investors will actively cooperate with Binh Dinh to help promote trade, investment, and tourism activities.

Consul General of Japan in central Da Nang city, Yakabe Yoshinori, said Binh Dinh together with Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai, has been selected as key economic centers in the central region. Binh Dinh is one province with huge potential for development, he added.
