Kurz kicks off its first project in Vietnam

A kick-off ceremony on a thin film factory, invested by Germany - based Kurz International Holdings GMBH, took place in at Becamex Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) located in Van Canh district on May 24.

The US$40-million project, covering 12,000 sq.m, is the first one in Vietnam and also the first one at Becamex VSIP.

According to the General Director of KURZ Vietnam Co.Ltd, Cosima von Salis, the first phase of the project is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2023, with a total production capacity of 15 million sq.m of hi-tech film and coating products a year. Depending on operations in Vietnam, the total investment for the project is expected to be up to 100 million USD in 10-15 years, helping strengthen its influence in Asia, as well as meeting market needs worldwide with high quality products.

Binh Dinh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Thanh asked the investor to boost its construction progress, ensuring the business operation as planned.
