Binh Dinh builds sustainable foundation for cooperation with Yongsan

During 30 years of friendly cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea (1992-2022), Binh Dinh Province has greatly contributed to build an initial foundation for better changes.

According to Chairman of Quy Nhon Municipal People’s Committee Ngo Hoang Nam, the cooperation between Quy Nhon and Yongsan District has reached a new height, particularly after the Yongsan representing office and Sejong South Korean Center opened in April, 2016.

Notably, the Yongsan authorities donated over VND3.5 billion to upgrade the facilities at Quy Nhon Medical Center.

Besides the financial support to build 21 houses for disadvantaged people in Phuoc My commune during the 2012 - 2021 period, Yongsan’s authorities also presented 220 scholarships and stationaries to poor students in Quy Nhon.

Statistics show that South Korean companies are investing four projects in Binh Dinh, with the registered capital of US$97.74 million, including Sepplu garment factory, QNY solar power mill, CJ Vina Agri’s livestock food plant and CJ CGV cinema.

Binh Dinh hopes to promote the cooperation with South Korean partners in other fields, such as hi-tech agriculture, electronic components, automatic and port infrastructure. The “Meet Korea 2022” event, taking place from May 12 - 13, is expected to become an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between two sides.
