Binh Dinh to invest over VND4.3 trillion in artificial intelligence center
Binh Dinh Province is promoting with joint ventures of FPT Corporation to prepare to invest in an artificial intelligence (AI) center project and a neighboring urban area, using over VND4.3 trillion, expecting to become one of the first and most effective AI centers of Vietnam.
On March 7, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, issued a decision approving the results of selection for implementation of an investment project using land in the project "Artificial intelligence center - auxiliary urban area in Tran Quang Dieu Ward and Bui Thi Xuan Ward, Quy Nhon City”.

The project is invested by FPT Quy Nhon joint venture with a total capital of over VND4.3 trillion, and will be carried out in 8 years.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, the project is implemented on a land scale with a planning area of over 932,000 square meters.
Particularly the AI research center will include the research, training, software production, support of digital transformation, provision of solutions for network security and social security, and AI in service of people, improving productivity, quality and service value.
When completed, the project will also contribute to attracting investment in the field of research, creation and development in the 4.0 technology era, towards the 5.0 technology era.
Previously, working with the representative of the project investor, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, said that the province is determined to carry out digital transformation in the near future, aiming to become one of the leading digital transformation localities in the 2025 - 2030 period of the whole country. The province is developing a resolution specializing in digital transformation, according to 3 areas: State, businesses and then people.
Binh Dinh will continue to maintain and sign strategic cooperation agreements with FPT to develop science and technology.
