Quy Nhon Port’s terminal 1 upgraded

A ceremony was held on November 28 to upgrade terminal 1 at Quy Nhon Port. The upgrade is aimed at serve two two fully loaded 4,000 TEU ships simultaneously.

According to a representative of Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), the project will be conduction until 2023. It will expand the quay length by 35 metres to 480 metres.

“The terminal upgrading shows our commitment to meet the target of processing 15 million tonnes of cargo by 2025, therefore contributing to meeting the socio-economic development plan in Binh Dinh province and the central highlands”, VIMC’s deputy general director and port chairman Pham Anh Tuan said.

 

The delegates is pushing buttons to launch the e-portal of Quy Nhon port.

Speaking at the ceremony, Binh Dinh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, stressed that the port play an important role in the local socio-economic development.

Located in the central Binh Dinh province, Quy Nhon Port currently handles more than 130,000 teu annually.

At the event, an online portal of Quy Nhon port was also launched to facilitate real-time monitoring of cargo movements and electronic payments.
